About Us

This year we are being propelled into an exciting new lesson on trust and faith in God. Over the past 5 years we have been living in the Philippines, and working with amazing Deaf people in Asia. In 2018 we came back to the USA to connect with our partners, family, and friends. In August, 2019 we are moving to San Diego, CA to continue our work but in new and profound ways.

What have we been doing?

Since 2013, we have been helping with translation projects in southeast Asia being trained as translation consultants for sign languages. While Teri has continued his focus on helping teams translate the Bible into their own sign language, God has given Rachel a passion to research how to help deaf teens and adults who have grown up with minimal language input, and their brains have developed without this key component.

What are we doing now?

Currently we are developing a partnership team that see the vision we are excited about and want to help us fulfill that vision.

We can not do this without people to encourage us, pray with us and for us, continue relationship during the seasons of great change we will go through, provide financial support and blessing, and Skype with us so we can connect with what is going on in the lives of our friends, family, and community in the states.

Where will we be going?

Rachel’s research focus has brought us back to the USA for the next 5 years or so, working and studying in San Diego at UCSD. The program there is perfect for the research Rachel wants to do, and it is the best program for her studies anywhere in the world. While Rachel completes her Ph.D., Teri will continue to work with teams in southeast Asia with video conferencing tools day-to-day as well as trips when needed.
